The Service Catalog Quick Start program begins with Third Sky's two-day "Accelerated Service Catalog Modeling” Workshop, grounded in the industry good practice guidelines of the ITIL® version 3 framework and enhanced through Third Sky’s extensive, hands-on experience in helping our clients to develop their Service Catalogs.
Under the guidance of an experienced Third Sky consultant, your Service Catalog team will learn the importance of an effective Service Catalog to their overall IT Service Management (ITSM) activities. Then, via hands-on exercises leveraging Third Sky’s “real world” templates and examples, your team will be guided through the definition of your organization’s services and the creation of its Service Catalog. Service details are captured in the newScale PortfolioCenter Workgroup Edition, capturing tangible output that will energize the team and build momentum for the completion of the Service Catalog.
With the support of Third Sky’s mentoring consulting, your Service Catalog team will continue working with the newScale PortfolioCenter Workgroup Edition instance, building on the content from the Service Catalog workshop.
Using newScale PortfolioCenter as their workbench, your team will complete the definition of the Services in their Service Catalog, review and update their catalog, and then publish it for draft review
The Service Catalog Quick Start program provides a proven, facilitated approach to developing a Service Catalog that enables your organization to leverage ITIL good practices for Service Catalog design to realize the following benefits:
- Begin the cultural shift from a system-oriented perspective to a service-oriented perspective
- Build an understanding within your organization of how your customers perceive the services you deliver
- Kick-start (or reinvigorate) the creation and publication of your Service Catalog
- Create a foundation and framework for improving the processes that govern the design, transition, and operation of your services
- Publish a professional-looking Service Catalog using an enterprise-class solution, without the technical hurdles of deploying on-premises software.
This program is appropriate for organizations who are about to start, or have started, a Service Catalog definition effort, or have an existing Service Catalog and want to publish it in an actionable format via an industry-leading solution.
Workshop participants are typically those who have, or are about to have, a role in the design and development of their organization’s Service Catalog. This includes current and future Service Owners, Service Level Managers, Business Relationship Managers, IT Process Engineers, Business Analysts, and IT Project Managers.
